Does OD use GPS tracking for Covid-19 contact tracing?
No, are system is active not passive. What that means is we no not run any background functions to locate you.
You must “Tap” the button located in the section of each merchant’s home listing page no notify OD that you are at a Merchant’s location. The app uses the devices GPS location to confirm you are at the Merchant’s location. (You will need to give the app permission to use GPS.)
Who contacts me?
If a merchant you visited notifies us of a possible exposure during a time period where you had “Check In”, and had a possible exposure to the Covid-19 virus based on the time and date of your check in, you will receive a message via the app with information and instructions.
There is no other way to communicate with you by OD.
NOTE. We do not have the ability to provide any other method to notify you. Please make sure you enable your notifications for the OrderDirect app.
What is a Merchant Code?
A Merchant Code is a number provided to you by a Merchant. It allows you to simply enter it and that Merchant is added to your app.
How do I find additional Merchants?
From the “Locations” button
Can I add more than one Merchant to my app at a time?
Yes, but only from the “Locations” section of the app. You may choose to add as many Merchants as you desire at a time.
How do I collect Rewards?
Each time you order from the app, Reward Points are added to your total once the Merchant completes the order. You will receive a message when the system has applied your new points.
Who do I pay for my order?
OrderDirect collects no payments. Payment is made directly to the Merchant.
